Donations for Jamal

Jamal, a refugee from Afghanistan, took a perilous journey from Iran in 2013 and arrived safely in Indonesia. He had hoped to go onto Australia but the boats had been stopped. Jamal was given refugee status in 2014 and since then he has been waiting to be accepted by a country who will offer him sanctuary. Indonesia is not signed up to the UN convention for refugees, so Jamal cannot study, work or own property. Refugees are expected to wait until they are relocated. Jamal has been waiting for 10 years.
