Course Information:  Both Christian & Buddhist contemplative traditions share a simple but radical insight: peace in the world depends on cultivating greater peace in ourselves. Both illuminate a pathway to the peace which gives birth to universal love & compassion.
This experiential Advent retreat, with a focus on silent meditation practice, will bring the Christian Desert Father Evagrius & the Zen Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh into conversation, exploring how we can learn to recognise & water the seeds of peace & compassion within us, while recognising & taking care of the seeds of fear, anger & conflict.

Course Leader Information:

Chris Whittington is the founder and lead teacher at the School of Contemplative life, and brings years of contemplative teaching and practice to the heart of the School’s work. (TBC)
