God’s calling as a priest has led Narinder to serve in parishes in St Albans, Beaconsfield and in Bath & Wells Diocese. She is a member of the Steering Group at Wells Cathedral which has oversight to help shape the Cathedral’s approach to the reinterpretation of its monuments with connections to Transatlantic Slavery and a part of the Diocese Lament to Action Group. Carolyn became the Leader of The Ammerdown Centre in 2025 from being Director of Place for Hope. She has been fascinated about the concept of peace since childhood and spent over 25 years working in the humanitarian, international development and peacebuilding sectors around the world, often in places of war, extreme poverty, repressive discrimination and exclusion of those most vulnerable. Her passion for nonviolence and peacemaking in its most holistic sense, is deeply rooted in her Christian faith and experiences around the world living and working beside people with different faiths, cultures, beliefs, worldviews and life experiences. Carolyn has qualifications in International Development, Human Rights Law & Advocacy and Conflict Transformation, and is an accredited mediator. Although Carolyn grew up in Australia, she settled back in her native UK in 2014 to focus on nurturing spaces for peace, nonviolence, and reconciliation. Carolyn loves the 4 different seasons here (& really loves snow), cycling, and time spent with God and nature on long daily walks with her dog, Pace (Italian for peace).
