Course Information:
Writing a memoir of your life, or some aspect of it, can be a wonderfully fulfilling and healing process. Whether you aim for publication or not, write it for your offspring or yourself, shaping your story helps make sense of things and offers an opportunity to reflect on the deeper meaning of your life. This workshop will encourage special reflection on exploring spiritual meaning, but will also provide a safe, supportive, confidential space where you will find a voice, purpose, confidence and inspiration; tackle form, structure, story-telling; practise dialogue (and humour!); consider ethical issues; and review your experiences in a new and uplifting way.
Course Leader Information:
Rosie has been running writing workshops for over thirty years and is passionate about the healing power of the creative arts. She has taught at the University of East Anglia, West of England, trained in counselling, run writing groups in Greece, Spain, and many community and health settings. Her spiritual life has taken her to India and a Sufi training in California. An award-winning poet, widely published, her collection Love Leans over the Table came out in 2023, while her own memoir The Glass Mother (Unthank Books, 2016), is now available on Amazon KDP.
Jane Hirshfield describes her work as ‘gorgeously original’, while Bel Mooney calls her ‘a rare poet of transcendence.’
