Volunteer

At Ammerdown, we are can always do with extra help – be it with gardening, ironing, office work or weekend duties!

We have several local friends who kindly give us a few hours every week. And we have friends living further away who come to stay for a weekend or longer to help out (in exchange for board and lodging!).

Tasks and responsibilities are matched to each person’s skills and experience. It can be hard work, but should also be rewarding, with a chance to mix with staff and with guests and feel a part of a very worthwhile operation.

All our volunteers go through a thorough process of vetting, which includes an interview, the following-up of references and a trial period.
