CHRISTIAN EVOLUTION – From our roots to our future

Friday 26 November to Sunday 28 November

Residential: £185, Non-residential: £123

Please arrive by 6pm on Friday.  Course ends with lunch on Sunday.

Our world is experiencing an intense period of transition and change in which traditional institutions and individuals are being challenged to move towards new horizons. During this weekend we will explore together the new directions that are emerging within Christianity and how these can be seen to have grown naturally from our roots.

Our exploration will include deepening our understanding of such teachings as:

During the weekend we will also reflect on what we are being called to, in the light of our new understanding and how we envisage our service in the world. This will be done in a participative and experiential way. Depending on the participants’ wishes, group discussions may cover any number of issues, from Contemplative Prayer and Contemporary Holistic Spirituality to Rediscovering the Feminine.

Janice Dolley, a mother and grandmother, is currently Development Director with the Wrekin Trust www.wrekintrust.org working in the field of spiritual learning. Her other work includes being chair of CANA (Christian Awakening to a new Awareness) and a Trustee of the Findhorn Foundation and WYSE (World Youth Service and Enterprise). Jane Ozanne, mother of two, is a qualified Social Worker. In recent years she has been working in the field of spiritual and holistic peace-building, with special reference to the Middle East, and set up a charity Spirit of peace,.www.spiritofpeace.co.uk She is a member of the Lay Community of St Benedict and a member of the core group of CANA (Christians Awakening to a new Awareness)
