MOSAIC WORKSHOP led by Kate Rattray

Kate Rattray ran her first mosaic workshop at Ammerdown last year, and it was a great success – 10 out of 10 participants rated the weekend as ‘Very Good’! Each took home a piece of mosaic (about A4 size) that they had made themselves (see photo), and all were amazed at what, as total beginners, they had been able to create with Kate’s expert but gentle help.

No prior experience is necessary, but those with some experience are welcome. Please note that, as mosaic cutters will be used, some strength in the hands is necessary. Places are limited to 10, so we suggest you book early if you are interested.

Kate Rattray is a local mosaic artist and tutor with 13 years’ experience. She works to commission and with community groups and schools, and exhibits her work nationally. She is a member of the British Association for Modern Mosaic and a full craft member of the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen. (For more information on Kate’s work, please visit www.rattraymosaics.co.uk).
