TAKING BETTER PICTURES WITH YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA

Please arrive between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday. Course ends with lunch on Friday.

If you enjoy taking photographs, own a digital camera and want to learn more about using it in a relaxed and beautiful environment, then this popular course could be just right for you!

Led by expert photographer and tutor Bryan Webb, this course is aimed at both beginners and at those who are already using a digital camera but would like to learn more about it. It will include demonstrations, individual and group practical work and tutorials. Exchanging ideas, sharing and discussing captured images will be an important feature.

The focus will be on good photographic practice making full use of Ammerdown’s beautiful environment for photoshoots, with simple image editing using Adobe Photoshop Elements. An optional half-day photoshoot to another interesting location (for example Wells) is also planned.

You can look forward to a full and lively course programme offering tremendous value for money, and expect to go home with an extended understanding of digital photography, a collection of well designed supporting material, and lots of your own interesting digital images to enjoy.

Please note that no prior photographic experience is necessary, but knowledge of how to use a computer mouse is necessary for the use of the editing software.

Participants will need to bring their own digital camera with its instruction manual. A tripod is also essential. Owning a laptop is not necessary, as Bryan will make suitable laptops available, but if you own a laptop (PC Notebook- Windows) running Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, 7 or 8 please bring it with you.

Bryan Webb www.digital_photography.talktalk.net is an active digital photographer and an experienced leader of courses in digital photography for adults of all ages. He first came to Ammerdown two years ago and has been rated by course participants as a talented teacher who has great enthusiasm, is able to cater for all levels of ability, and comes extremely well prepared.
