Unfurling: Living out from our Inner Peace

Please arrive 6pm on Friday. Retreat ends with lunch on Sunday.

“One of the most striking, original and fresh voices in contemporary Christian spirituality”

(a reviewer commenting on Gail and Ian Adams’s work)

We all dream of a better world - more peaceful, more harmonious, more caring and more celebratory - and that peaceful world must first take shape in us. This weekend with Ian and Gail Adams of the Beloved Life project will be an opportunity to explore how we might discover, nurture and then live out from our deep God-given inner peace - an unfurling into a life of imagination, adventure, and generosity.

The weekend at Ammerdown will have a spacious mix of teaching, conversation, stillness and spiritual practice, with some of the session content outside where there will be opportunities to do body prayer, create earth-art, observe and enjoy the natural world.

Gail is a life-coach, mentor and retreat-leader working with insights and wisdom to connect you with your joyful potential in both good and tough times. Gail runs the see:change project.

Ian is a poet, photographer, artist and Anglican priest, creator of the daily Morning Bell on social media, director of StillPoint, author of 'Cave Refectory Road: monastic rhythms for contemporary living', 'Running Over rocks: spiritual practices to transform tough times' and 'Unfurling' (Canterbury Press).

Together Ian and Gail run the Beloved Life project which offers a mix of resources & practices, events & gatherings, re-imagining what it means to be truly human and to shape a better world. The project is rooted in the wisdom, practices and spirituality of the Jesus path, and draws particularly on stillness, the contemplative traditions and the arts.
