MYERS BRIGGS – Understanding Yourself

Saturday 12 June

£40

9.30am for 10.00am to 4pm.  Includes coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.

Why do we always argue with the same people about the same things? Why do some things drain us and others give us energy? Why do I like my information presented in a way that nobody else seems to? How come I find it difficult to make decisions?

For more than 50 years the work of Jung, made accessible through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), has helped people understand the answers to these and other questions about their personality. This workshop will introduce the instrument, recognising that as individuals we all have different gifts and that each has potential strengths and blind spots. The workshop will also touch upon the relationship between spirituality and psychology, looking at our preferred spirituality, how this is manifested in prayer, and how the MBTI can lead us to greater understanding and growth.

Kit Dollard works for CCR, a Christian Charity promoting adult formation in England. This is his fourth career, having served in the army, worked in the City and later for a national property firm. His special interests are leadership, film & art and psychology, and he is a Fellow of the IPD. He has been a registered practitioner of MBTI for ten years and found it a wonderful tool for understanding himself and others.
