Living Free- What is Retirement in the 21st Century?

If the thought of ‘living free’ of the demands and routine of work fills you with delight, dread, confusion, or perhaps a mixture of all three, this course could well suit you (and your partner).

Most people make financial plans for life beyond their career yet, in general, much less time is spent planning what they will DO. ‘Living Free’, developed and led by Ann Beazer, provides a practical, down to earth approach to the issues that contribute to making retirement a fulfilling time in our lives.

The course will cover a wide range of topics:

  • redefining ‘retirement’ for the 21st century
  • positive role models
  • making best use of the wealth of skills and experience of these wisdom years
  • balancing opportunities with demands
  • tackling ageism
  • managing energy levels and optimising health – spiritual, physical, mental and emotional

The overall aim is to give everyone the opportunity to explore ways of living that are energy giving and fulfilling, whilst charting new waters and creating role models for future generations.

As a professional coach and a member of the ‘60+ age group’ herself, Ann enjoys encouraging people to reinvent themselves and make the most of their ‘freedom’. She has coached individuals and contributed to pre-retirement seminars for the staff in a major UK charity. Previous participants have commented: “It’s the first time I have spent real time planning what I am going to DO in my retirement”; “The course has made me realise how many opportunities I have. We truly are a privileged generation.”

Note:  If you have a partner it might be helpful for you to attend together.

Led by: Ann Beazer
