Annette Bolton is a gifted Textile and Bead artist who loves to share her art with others (see www.annettebolton.co.uk). She first came to Ammerdown last year and impressed everyone – pupils as well as casual observers – with the stunning pieces of artwork she helped create during her workshops. No wonder she already has a number of devoted followers!
The type of beading that this course will cover is worked with just a needle, thread and beads – and yet can produce the most stunning pieces for use in necklaces and bracelets etc. Annette will demonstrate and help with a variety of techniques (including Peyote and Herringbone stitches) and projects which will be suitable for beginners as well as experienced beaders. There will be lots of ideas and variations to try, and you will be able to have lots of fun experimenting with both the stitches and colour combinations.
N.B. Please note that Annette is leading another course at Ammerdown this year, this time on Hand Embroidery, from Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 May.
Led by: Annette Bolton
Please arrive by 6pm on Monday. Course ends with lunch on Thursday.
