Very few retreat houses in this country offer photography courses, and Ammerdown is among them! This is maybe not surprising. So, if you enjoy taking photographs, this could be just the course for you. Enthusiastically led by expert tutor and photographer Bryan Webb, it is aimed at both beginners and at those who have used a digital camera for a while but would like to learn more about its key features. Throughout the course you will receive practical coaching and tuition, including friendly individual guidance when out and about shooting your photos. Sharing and reviewing captured images will also provide feedback and celebrate course work.

The course will make full use of Ammerdown’s beautifully scenic environment for photoshoots, followed up with some simple image editing using Adobe Photoshop Elements.

You can look forward to a full and lively course programme and expect to go home with a confident understanding of digital photography, improved photographic techniques and composition skills, a collection of easy-to-follow notes, and lots of your own photographs to use and proudly enjoy.

Apart from your camera and its instruction manual, the only item of equipment that you need to bring is a tripod.

Bryan Webb is an active digital photographer and an experienced tutor of adults of all ages.
