> > A Kabbalistic Weekend

A Kabbalistic Weekend

Peter Walters offers an experience like no other: the chance to find out more about the tradition of Jewish mysticism called Kabbalah whilst spending the weekend in a traditional Jewish way. Peter writes: “Kabbalah, the ancient system of Jewish mysticism, forms the underpinning spiritual theory of Judaism. It is also a powerful tool for developing spiritual and personal awareness. Similarly, traditional Jewish life and worship is a vehicle which brings us closer to the Divine. We will illustrate how the two connect by spending the weekend in a traditional Jewish way and examining how religious practice reflects Kabbalistic ideas. Traditional prayers, Shabbat observance and kosher eating will be mixed with meditation, guided reflection, music and chanting.”

You don’t need prior knowledge of Kabbalah, Hebrew or Judaism to enrol on the course. You just need to be interested in self-awareness and happy to participate in a supportive group setting.

Peter Walters (Shimon Yaakov ben Avraham) is a counsellor and psychotherapist with a background in occupational health, management and organisational consultancy. He has a lifelong interest in spirituality and mysticism, and speaks across the country on interfaith and traditional Judaism.
