To the best of our knowledge, our Three Faiths Summer School is the only residential week-long event of its kind in the UK. It is a unique opportunity to spend time with people of other faiths (Christians, Jews and Muslims), to talk and to share, to learn from each other and, last but not least, to have fun together! The week consists of a series of lectures, workshops, group discussions, shared worship and fun activities – and of course plenty of time to get to know each other in the safe and beautiful space offered by Ammerdown.

One past participant commented: “The term ‘life changing’ has become a much used cliché but I sense that this is exactly what this week may be for me… This was not only my first opportunity to speak with and listen to Muslims but also my first meaningful contact with Judaism. I have much to reflect upon and for that I will be constantly grateful.”

In 2010, we will be exploring the theme ‘Our Places of Worship’, and hope to organise visits to a synagogue, a mosque and a church.

The three leaders will be: Rabbi Dr. Michael Hilton, a Reform rabbi and writer, author of The Christian Effect on Jewish Life; Sheikh Bashir Dultz, the spiritual leader of the German Muslim League; and Ursula King, Professor Emerita of Theology and Religion at Bristol University and author of several books including The Search for Spirituality
